About Me

Sarah Reebs, Renaissance WomanGreetings! My name is Sarah, and I am a digital media communications professional and a graduate of the Master of Communications in Digital Media (now Communication Leadership) program at the University of Washington in Seattle. Though I began my undergraduate career in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, I ultimately changed paths and earned my Bachelor’s degree in English (Creative Writing) from Seattle University. I am passionate about words and writing, especially great storytelling.

I am a Washington native, but hopped around the country for the first half of my life. I’ve lived in southwest Washington; the San Francisco Bay area; Lexington, Kentucky; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and, since 1997, the greater Seattle area. I love to travel and have so far visited 11 countries outside the US and 21 of our 50 states (and DC!), not including airports. I speak conversational Spanish and a handful of phrases in Italian, French, and German.

When I’m not managing digital communications for my clients, I enjoy a number of hobbies ranging from playing music to crafting things from yarn and fabric to cooking and baking to photography. Growing up, I played cello and piano, but my most recent love is the ukulele.* For exercise purposes, and because I love it, I take pole dance classes; from time to time, I go West Coast swing dancing. I love watching movies and it’s possible that I’m addicted to social media, but above all else I prefer to spend time with my best friend and husband, Guy.
